Caravan Park Star Ratings

The AAA (Australian Automobile Association) star rating systems for caravan parks consists of a star rating from one star to five stars.

One star is a basic camping ground or caravan park with shared facilities. A Five star is for those caravan or tourist parks with an exceptionally high standard of amenities and facilities.

In order to obtain a rating, the amenities and park surroundings must be clean and comply with State and local Council regulations.

STAR RATINGS

	Basic - camping ground or caravan park with shared facilities
	Moderate - clean, reasonably maintained caravan park
	Good - clean and well maintained amenities and facilities
	Very good - high standard of facilities
	Excellent - benchmark property with exceptional appointments
	(half star) - facilities above the required standard

Park Accommodation Star Ratings

Park accommodation is separately rated from one star to five stars.

One star is clean, basic accommodation. Five star is an exceptionally high standard of facilities and amenities for self-contained accommodation, including cooking facilities. Some offer private facilities.

STAR RATINGS

	Basic - clean, reasonably maintained unit with basic facilities
	Average - clean, reasonably maintained, offering good accommodation
	Good - clean and well maintained offering a high degree of comfort
	Very Good - high standard of accommodation and facilities
	Excellent - exceptionally high standard of accommodation and facilities. This is the benchmark for park accommodation
	(half star) - facilities above the required standard
