ROVER 4WD PARK OPENS A new 4WD and recreation park has opened near Tenterfield in Northern NSW.Called Rover Park, it is situated 35km east of Tenterfield on the Bruxner Highway. It is 15km west of Drake travelling west. It is handy to the Gold Coast via Lismore and Casino and is about three hours drive from Brisbane, via Warwick. Rover Park has a multitude of great 4WD tracks that are ideal for family 4WDriving. It also has a river with waterholes plus a nine hole golf course. There is a safe track for kids to use the hire 4WD bikes and a proper well equipped playground that is popular with children. The Hautle family of Hans and Heidi, with daughter Bertina, own and run Rover Park and are keen to see 4WD owners have a good time. The amenities are excellent and include great showers and toilets, plus undercover areas with gas barbeques. On-site caravans, with bush annexes, are available for hire and are ideal for family use. Being a wildlife reserve, dogs and other pets are not allowed at Rover Park, but this is a small price to pay for an excellent venue with plenty of room and plenty to do. |
