FUEL EFFICIENT CAMPER TRAILERS

With rising fuel costs, 4WD owners are aware that towing camper trailers can have a detrimental effect on fuel consumption. 

The owner of Light Weight Campers, Bruce Christian reports that his clients are pleasantly surprised at how little extra fuel is used when towing.

They report only a small difference in fuel consumption unlike owners of larger heavier types of camper trailers, which tend to be wide and non-aerodynamic.  Lightweight Campers unique design, coupled with their aerodynamic front upper panel, ensure that wind resistance is kept to an absolute minimum.

The design is unlike flip tops and other hard floor types as the beds fold out from the sides of the camper trailer.  Height is not an issue with the Light Weight unit being the same as most of the popular 4WDs used for towing.  This ensures wind resistance is kept at a minimum.

Bruce also reports that owners of smaller 4WDs like RAV4s, Subarus and Honda CRVs prefer his unit as it is more compact that other designs, yet it still has more features.  There are two beds (one double plus a single) plus the kitchen and annexe areas.

Affordability is another positive sales concern with the Ballina made units being priced in the lower end of the market scale.  Both on and off road versions are available.
